    Being a glasshouse bod and not a gardener I was not familiar with Loropetalums so it ws new to me. The hazel like flowers aren't that special but the foliage caught my eye.
    Can't have mine! :D

    Saw one in a garden at a hotel we stayed at in Tetbury,Glos. Managed to note the label but never had the chance to "get at it!" :( :D

    I thought you didn't go much of the accomodation down here! no windows, no roofs :D
    Came from a GC next to our nursery and I PAID FOR IT! :D

    Don't all come at once! you couldn't afford the parking now unless you won the lottery!
    By the way that pic of the house in ruins was Tyneham village between Weymouth and Swanage have you heard of it?

    Yes... many years ago when on holiday down there and on the way to the Tank museum, but hadn't a clue what my Dad meant when he kept on about Hi*ler,..invasion..exclusion zone.....etc;

    It was Churchill's idea to evacuate an entire (but small) village and let the army use it for D-Day landing practice for house to house fighting, I think some tanks may have had a hand too!
    It's an erie place but interesting (and free)Don't go when it raining -- there's not much shelter! :D :D
