So why do bus drivers not carry pepper spray?

Unless there is some sort of extenuating circumstances (which I very much doubt), that driver should be sacked at the minimum. His approach speed to that bend was WAY too fast for a vehicle of that size, and if you watch the video through he not only sweeps the nose over the pavement, but also smashes the overhang of a shop which is the debris that can be seen falling on the CCTV.

The incident took place in Gun Street - here is a StreetView link, with the shop front being hit I believe being the one to the left of the Purple Turtle - pan the StreetView around and you will see the road layout, and it is then abundantly clear to anyone with eyes that he has overcooked his approach speed drastically.

Agree and you can see the front wheel on full right lock when bus hit man

The man wouldn't have knowen anything about it till he was hit which would have helped him alot because he wasn't tensed up

I'd go as far as to say that he/she had enough roll on that to be losing traction at the front end. Far too much loud pedal to begin with, possibly made a lot worse by pedal confusion if he/she went to stand on the brakes - - and that is being kind.

and the front air suspension should have helped but couldn't because of the speed

Funny how John big balls in the first video can go mental at a much smaller middle aged man, but when confronted him self suddenly gives up. What an 'A' hole.

Yep, I saw his passenger in the video, pepper spray or "Mr Snuggles" the lump hammer would have come in very handy :paladin:

Look at this driver, he only stopped when the steering wheel came of in his hands.
