Need a new fruit tree

They clearly know their stuff! Very interesting video, as much to see the size of their trees and the amount of fruit being produced as anything.

 

I thought so too, I'll probably revisit this when I'm ready to stick a few trees in in a year or two

 

Really stupid question time - as cherry trees are also in the various pollination groups, can they pollinate apples (as in, could I have an apple and a cherry tree in the same garden in the same grouping and get fruit)?

 

Ah well, I did think it was a long shot. Mrs C, off the cuff, earlier said that she would like a cherry tree which got me to thinking - as it is looking like I need two apple trees, I cannot have two cherry trees as well, so that will be another choice. Nothing is simple, eh?

Cherries, although nice, can be difficult to get to pick the fruit. Unless you're prepared to cover them the birds will eat them before they have ripened.
