I am sorting out the pond left by the previous owner. I need to fill some of the existing hole with some earth / dirt.

Does anyone know where I can get this without having to pay a lot of money at a garden centre?
A it is just for filling a hole it can be of any type, even little stoned should do.

    thanks

fill the worst with rubble then the rest with topsoil (aprox 5" if turfing)

Dont buy from a gardencentre unless a very small area. you can buy a bulk bag (1 ton ) for around £35 inc deliv.

Not sure, but you could ask your local authority, gardens department?

If you've got transport, try Freecycle. There's always people wanting to get rid of rubble.
