    Hi,
I'm Steve, a new member to this forum from Chester.
We have a nice sized garden.
I developed a plot for growing veg in the autumn. However, the plantings have not done very well! This has made me realise that it would be good to talk to others with experience.
    Looking forward to this.
    Steve

Welcome Steve, Whether Plants or Veggies, all can be hit and miss at times depending on:what:..I have only just realised that seeds are much better off with:lolpt: seed compost...many poor results from using other types including our own from the composter....the penny has dropped thanks to Gardeners Corner, sure you will get some good helpful tips that just make the difference for some success, not only in the Garden either....

      Thanks all for the replies:yes:.
I think one of my issues was starting on the veg growing experience in the autumn :nonofinger:. Think I should have started with spring planting.
Good tip about seed compost as well. I put cabbage seeds in the ground!!!! Not good with the wind, cold, snow and rain.
Will try again with seeds in pots then planting out.

          :sign0016:
Yes it's best to start in the spring.
