Thanks for the reply it seems then I might have a problem with the plants I will post what plants then are when I got some time
Another problem is that trying to put in some sort of escape route for critters inside of pond. Can you use garden rocks /. Stones like chalk etc thanks for the advice

Wouldn't use chalk it will make the water alkaline.
Again I built a bit of a platform out of bricks.

For the escape route, remember that you don’t have to go from the pond shelf. You can make a route from the top of one of the planting baskets. Eg if you have an iris in a 6 or 8” planting basket, you just need to put a pile of pebbles in the corner of the basket, against the side of the pond, and any animal can use that as an escape route... For an 8” basket, this would be another 8” of stones/pebbles, up to the surface, and then whatever the depth of the wood surround is. Obviously, if you’ve already raised a basket up, so that its just below the surface, by placing it on bricks, then that’s the basket to choose to make the escape route from!

They should be alright; the water will drain through the holes.
A word in the right ear got them through the window when I was growing up.
Obviously more civilised where you are.

          Bricks is bricks regarding ponds.

Just put something soft under the bottom ones so the sharp edges dont damage the liner.

Many thanks for your reply with the bricks I got delivered I was thinking of maybe the fish / critters would have some where to hide if a predator came along eg cat / bird
Would it be possible to make the holes bigger with out breaking the brick in too. Just a thought
I have still got some underlay / liner if that would be OK to wrap around the brick.
            Thanks for your advice

Liner, underlay would be fine to soften the brick edges. As for hidie holes for fish etc just leave some gaps between the bricks, they don't have to butt up. As long as your pot is stable you can probably get fair sized spaces.
I wouldn't try making the holes in the bricks larger.

I thought you wanted a wildlife pond?
At least that was the aim at the beginning.
If so I think you will not be able to keep a sterile pond, which also appears to be the aim.
You will get alge and the water will turn green sometimes it's part of the natural cycle.
