New Veg Patch Weeds

    I was thinking about putting some old planks I got down to walk across it this is all a bit new to me so going a step at a time really

    A good hoe is what you need, 5 mins will clear that bed of those little weeds.

    My partner is disabled so I feel qualified to comment, but be careful of planks across your bed as it is slightly downhill and planks could slip down. A block fixed to one side of your planks at one end and placed outside of the bed to rest against it..will stop this.

    You are probably already well ahead of me on this, but I would not have felt right walking away without saying something. Hope you don't mind.

      yea I think planks may not be the answer and maybe concrete blocks or something would be better

      You will need to be careful when walking on either planks or blocks as they can become slippery when wet.

        Depends what they are.....hoeing perennial weeds just spreads them around.

          I disagree, when that small hoeing fetches them up to the surface to die, those in the photos are tiny so hoeing will finish them...any bigger and yes you spread them.
