I've been getting senior moments since I was 30 so watch out BM ;) .

Sorry to hear your problems HB and hope you have recovered OK. Mrs shiney says you should always carry a small bottle of "Rescue Remedy". You can buy this in any healthfood shop. It is a flower remedy and is good for lots of things - especially shock. Mrs shiney can tell you more about it if you are interested.

What an aweful day you had - isnt it strange how we always cope at the time and then, when we stop to think about it, we go to pieces!! Hope you have a better day today HB [IMG] Also hope you manage to get another appt for Bramble soonx

I'm so glad you are all safe including Bramble, as Marge says it's often afterwards that you feel the shock.
I first got a mobile phone after my car broke down on the M11. I was using crutches at the time, and the police found me slowing going to the nearest phone.... They told me that the average time a car sits on the hard shoulder on that stretch of road without damage is 11 minutes!!!
Luckily that night my dogs weren't in the car. The police were very good, they [illegally- they're not supposed to] towed me a mile down the road to my exit, phoned the RAC and waited until they came.

Yup, the hardshoulder is definitely no place for anyone, humans or animals! When I think of the couple of times I've sat in my car waiting for the BDS, it's makes me shudder.

But really glad you're okay HB, and hope you don't get too many flashbacks and stuff. Nasty experience. Good outcome. Bless you!

Do take that advice of Windy's - have a nice long drink tonight, and put your feet up! What a rotten thing to happen - and those lorries going thundering past - it's horrible, isn't it? You can really feel - scary. It happened to me just 2 miles from my junction, and my rescue party was my husband on a motor bike! We knew that would be the fastest option :D

Nasty experience HB - glad to hear everything ended well and no one was hurt. Enjoy your drink, and thank your lucky stars all was well.
