It's OK Zigs, she just made a slight spelling error and meant carpe diem. I think she wanted to grab the day and throw it at Bilbo! :heehee:

I've heard it's going to get colder (worse), then it's going to get warmer at the end of the week, but with heavy rain which will combine with melting snow to cause flooding (a different sort of worse).

Hey don't shoot the messanger :lunapic 130165696578242 5: :heehee:

But there is now an end in sight, BUT it is forecast to get much colder for a couple of days before warmer (still not tropical though :snork:) moves in on Sunday/Monday, apparently coming down from the northwest, so reaching the south last...

We've had a few hours sun today that melted about half our snow but it clouded over again and went very cold this afternoon..:rolleyespink:

So with warmer daytime temps the frozen ground should thaw out.

That sounds like a possible oxymoron.

          Errrrr.......... No!

The best BBC weather forecast was last year , when they forecast " intermittent rain followed by showers " , is there a difference !
I am sure they sit in the Met office playing Angry Birds on their multi million pound computer system , and just look out of the window 5 minutes before the weather forecast! :snork:

Our local forecasters on the island say with the exception of a rise by a few degrees later this week, we have this cold weather until the middle of February.
