Similar here, with +5 degrees overnight. A window of opportunity to get my spring garlic in I hope.

Well, all I'm hearing on the News that the cold weather is here until the Weekend with the threat of snow when the West warm front meets the colder Eastern Front.....again.:snork:

Looking good in a few days time ...

EDIT: Sorry, just noticed GC still hasn't got members' locations for weather forecasts sorted out yet.

There's still no end in sight. Last year was rubbish growing weather, but will this one be even worse? I'm not rushing to get seeds in as the weather now is far worse
than this time last year, and once again we have a blocking high.

Weather this time last year http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/whats-your-weather-like-mk3-part-1.40376/page-14

        From 25-26/3/2012

P.S. I think there might be a new definition of 'temperate climate' required

Unfortunately temperate goes far lower than the temperatures we'd get even if we got this every year. We'll always be temperate when not in a true ice age.

Is this spell going to end... no, not any time soon I'm afraid.

Its getting really depressing now to be honest - not only the not being able to get the garden looking nice, and get all sorts of seeds started, but also the drudgery of each day being grey and cold, and having to wrap up like an eskimo if going out for anything more than a couple of minutes.

Best of it is, I don't really like the really hot weather either (you should have heard me moan back when we had that couple of summers with 35ยบ+ heat), but I am really longing for a few warmish days when I can come home, potter in the garden and then sit out the back with a nice cold beer or three.

Heard on the radio that there is a mass exodus from the UK to warmer countries over Easter, who wouldn't bail out given the chance?. At least the travel companies will be "making hay". Think I might have to take a pneumatic drill to my Easter Egg or stick it in the microwave before I attempt to scoff it!:)

Alittle bit of optimism here from me!
We are all going to get only 3 weeks of spring this year starting 18th April
Then endless sunshine from mid may onwards till mid sept with intermittent rain or showers only at night time
                    Sound good everyone!
                    Stay positive :snork:
