Outlook for us here is also ridculously depressing, daytime temperatures not getting above 5 or 6 degrees and frosts every night for at least the next week to 10 days and all the time coupled with this easterly airflow that just makes things worse!!

The only slight positive is that the sun has been putting in an appearance and the wind has slowly been dropping - at least it looks good through the window :heehee:

I cannot remember the last time we had decent weather! And when we did, I'm sure I was at work so didn't even get chance to enjoy it:cry3:

Just picked up on a anomaly in the longer range forecast... that was for exceptional dryness... if that happens we could have big problems with crops this season. If it's not one thing it's another! It's only a chance though.

The next 3 weeks are going to be exceptionally dry.. fortunately melting snow should provide enough water to help against that where snow lies.. for the next 20-30 days anyway.

In easterlies northwest Scotland is one of the driest places in Europe... it's a little known fact Northwest Scotland holds the record for the lowest humidity ever recorded in Europe with a humidity of 1.6%.. that happened in February 2003.

Come to Scotland and forget Trench Foot

Same happened last year, there was a drought
in the western highlands until late summer.
