It was a dull and grey day today but hubby and I managed to get out again :) We had a good walk around town then around the river and cathedral part. It was cold but good to be out.

The river Wensum runs through Norwich - a lovely walk to do. This is Cow Tower.

    Finally, some residents!

Hey Jazmine - my son and his girlfriend were up there yesterday - really did like it there, which is a good thing seeing as they may be there for a year come September! The girlfriend was particularly amazed at the cathedral.

Robert you are always welcome to visit again :)
Penny you are always welcome, there are some beautiful churches in Norwich.
Strongy the same goes for you, come and visit! The north norfolk coast is great for wildlife too.

WHAT is the difference between Norwich City and the Town exactly, because I have yet to hear of the Town of Norwich, having lived in Norfolk for most of the Last 45 years I have lived in the area?

Sorry, but ANY place is only as good as it then seems to ANY person, but NOT the best to all.

Well, since Norwich is a city, there is no 'town' of Norwich, not to my knowledge, anyway.

I love the Cathedral. I used to church there when I was training at the N&N (the old N&N on St Stephen's Road). I photographed it from almost every angle known to man!

One of my brothers used to run 'The Slug & Lettuce' pub across from the Cathedral. I never did have a pint in there.

Hi Daisees, thankyou for the trip down memory lane! A fascinating look into nursing. What an interesting life you have led working in many hospitals.
I think many local people still have a soft spot for the old Norfolk and Norwich and I am so pleased that parts of it have been kept and incorporated into the apartment renovation work.
My sons were both born there and my earliest memory is the frequent visits with my mum after I broke my nose. So so different from the new University Hospital!
    Amazing photos too!
