I only have the chair photos on film still, but here is the Victorian screen I did at
    the same time ...

The front is a Jacobean linen and the back a sage green, which the chairs were covered in.

I also made this quilted wall hanging which is above our headboard (our ceiling is 5 meters high at that point) ...

I like all kinds of arts and crafts.

looks nice @Victoria . just as an FYI in case in the future you might need. found on Ebay they sell some low cost fringe, and lots of selection. you may have to buy a foot or two more than you need but comparable much cheaper than stores or even fabric warehouses .

Thanks @redstar. I used a lovely sage green braid on the edges of the screen glued and brass studded. I have only made a denim bean bag since then as I have a wonderful upholsterer here, so far has done 4 seat cushions for sunroom furniture, a large footstool, the plastic rear window of my car, some seat leather in my car and two 3 meter shade sales (the latter costing all of 15 Euros for both) the entire length being ripped by wind!

My hobbies moved on to photography and art. Now back to an old favourite of crochet.

PS In the UK I used a massive fabric warehouse and here I use a UK supplier through Amazon who sends whatever quantity for 4 Euros ... less than fuel ttraipsing to the huge Chiinese shops that sell everything.

Sorry @Zigs, hijacked you there. xx

I also @Victoria only seem to do stuff for the house. made a mantel scarf for the fireplace mantel used a pretty blue embossed fabric with blue fringe, a round table cloth for my gazebo table as its large and the cost is crazy ready made, it was fun, did it just by measuring and figuring it out. make pillows also and curtains for the kitchen (later are no more as they matched the old kitchen) so they are tucked away. My sewing machine is in the basement now, that is how often I use it anymore. seems I have enough "stuff" done for the inside the house. There is a place in Philly called fabric row, where they are discontinued "designer " fabrics. You know the type of fabrics that are "to the trade only". Can find some interesting stuff there. have not been in years. maybe when I retire will take it up again.

My sewing machine is a Sears Kenmore. bought 1973 actually a boyfriend then bought it for me. it does lots of things, as yours does, not sure of the embroidery. back then, I made some clothes on it. but later in years, the time spent versus my career job etc did not balance out. except for the household stuff mentioned above. now that I am in the throw out clothes mood, certainly will not be making clothes on it. there is just so many clothes needed, and if its not comfortable it goes. A few for fancy, and if someone remembers what I wore last year to a fancy party, well good for them. Toyed with selling the machine, but, still wondering if when retired I might not want to take up sewing. I see how some clothes are being made, not matching designs over the seam, or plaids just bothers me. we shall see.

I wouldn't sell it. Even if you don't make anything new, they come in handy for mending. Because I'm in the biz, I have several industrial machines but I still use my 3 domestic sewers and 2 sergers a few times a month. The domestics are great for portability.
