Thank you Woo. She's worthy of the Rose of the year 2011 award I think,

          Dear Woo,
as much as I would like to take the credit for those 3 - I cannot. They were raised by Merleworld. Nice of him to let us view them at their finest hour though,
          Jenny

Its the heat Woo. We're not used to it are we. It's nice to have the garden door open all day and all evening though. I love to sit here at my PC, looking out over the garden and at the moment, a robin is singing me an evening serenade,

Love my Dublin Bay, it blooms all summer whatever the weather. Mine looks much darker than yours though Jenny, I'd describe it as a rich dark red velvet.

Good morning Westwales as I have often mentioned before the (shade) colour of a rose often differ,s on its position and soil, and indeed the photo as each camera shot can be darker or lighter in its composition, when I try and identify a rose I ask for a petal count ,its age,a description of the scent, and a photo of the rose in its environment, only then do I put my head on the block and give my opinion,I am not always right,as I have only a 99% success rate :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

                Such an example ;)

Both these rose are Dublin Bay
                [IMG] [IMG]

                Both roses are Hot Chocolate

This is one of the new climbing roses that I planted by the pond last November which has just started to flower.

Yes, Sheal, it's surprised me that it's that deep an orange. For some reason I expected a lighter orange but I do like it as it's quite unusual. I only took a couple of quick pics as it started to rain but I want to see the full shape when it opens.:snork:

Some roses bravely putting on a late , second flush. Got a bit battered by the stormy weekend weather but putting on a brave show nevertheless.
