This building is built from ecologically friendly materials, there is an explanation at the bottom of this post.

Thank you for posting these @Sheal, really enjoyed looking through them.

Wasn't too sure about the building when I first saw it, but the next photo really showed how it fitted in. Very interesting reading too: a sedum roof! Not quite sold on the concept of a waterless urinal but maybe that's because I've not used one  :heehee:

A place well worthy of a visit :blue thumb:

Thanks for posting these photos! Its a long time since I've been on the island, and they brought back a lot of happy memories. Especially the Laxey Wheel. Back in my dim and distant past, I did a small research project into its history.

          You're welcome "M" and Sandy. :)

The building is situated on the edge of the park close to the road and is surrounded by trees that cut down on it's impact.

I think one of the attributes of a Photographer is one who has the "eye" to see things and then the "courage" to press the button and see if the camera can see the same thing...........I guess that's you, Sheal.

Thanks Armandii that's a lovely compliment. :) But being very critical of what I produce, take a look at the first picture of the building......that lamp post is driving me nuts, the picture isn't straight! I only took the one shot so I'll have to live with it, or re-visit.:)

That's just my point, Sheal. Lots of people point and shoot and don't really put any mental effort into what they're doing. I have taken many a pic thinking ahead how it would look........only to find it was not really good. It's the person who can recognise that a shot is not what they were trying to create and will try to better it..........that's what I meant about the way you take your pics, Sheal.:snork:

I see what you mean, I don't think there's a cure for it, is there? I'll just have to live with it!:)

If at first you don't succeed @Sandy Ground! :) I think many of us would be lost without digital cameras and being able to delete the bad shots. Thank goodness we don't have to contend with film any more.

I've recently put my home up for sale and not being happy with the agents details I took some pictures of my own and forwarded them. Getting a decent picture of my small bathroom was a nightmare and with the shower corner prominent in the picture I tried everything to make sure it was upright, but no it wasn't happening! A dozen pictures later I had to go with the best shot and that wasn't wonderful.

Other members here will probably agree, some days we can pick up the camera and it all falls into place, other days it's a nightmare! :)

I bet it is, surprisingly, having been to one end of the planet to the other and lots of stops in the middle, the IOM is one place I have never visited.... Now on my wish list
