    Hi,

The year before last were bought a collection of 5 dwarf fruit trees, as popularly advertised, consisting of two apple, one cherry, plum and pear.

Last year the apple trees fruited, one ok the other much less, though we did thin them out with them being so young. No flowers or fruit on the other plants.

This year, again the two apples have fruited, but again the other one only has a couple of fruits.
The pear, cherry and plum have not flowered at all; daily checked for any signs of buds etc.

Think we are pruning and feeding them correctly, just wonder if they need more time to fruit, though is 3 years not long enough ??

Sounds like possible pollination problems, not sure what are self fertile amongst your plants, but amongst the two apples it seems one may be pollinating the other but not the reverse.

I think you need to look up on which varieties you have and check if they are self fertile.

Seems the plants supplied are classed as two year olds, so that makes them 4 years old now.

The apples do flower together, just, but the only bees around are a few of the big bumble bees, if its sunny enough; never see the small honey/worker bees until mid summer these days, so have been hand pollinating with a soft makeup brush.

The other plants, just no sign of any buds, let alone flowers, though growth and leaf good ; spurs pruned to two sets of leaves and fertilized as recommended.

Could be a pollination issue ....only one pear!! Even if self fertile most fruit trees need at least another variety to support pollination. As pete said, check the varieties too :)
I also would not allow any fruiting to take place until the third year
When did you prune by the way?
