Positive Brexit news

@longk I can't figure out why you're disagreeing with what I've said. I was expressing my personal feelings about our trade relationship and sincere wishes that Britain have no problem forming other beneficial trade relations. So please explain how my personal feelings are something to be disagreed with?? Do you want Brexit to end in disaster? Surely not!

Quite simply I feel that your "feelings" are wrong. And my disagreement is my personal feeling about the way that you feel. I'm not say that either of us is correct. Personal feelings, thoughts or attitudes do not constitute a fact be they yours or mine. That is what discussion is all about.

Of course not. But what I want and what will happen may or may not be two different things. We will still need European cars, European industrial machinery, European food products and a plethora of other things that are not available from Canada, the US or elsewhere. Sadly Europe needs far less from us especially if, as seems likely, the financial services sector loses its passport status. What we need to accept is that we still import far more than we export, be it to the EU or worldwide.

Anyway this is supposed to be a positive thread so here's another thought......................sod it, it's gone

 

With respect to all, and remembering I have no authority here since this is just a request, but just for this one thread, please could we note the topic title, and keep it positive? There's still plenty of life left in the doom and gloom thread for tales of woe. I just thought it might be nice if we could have a break from all the running round in tight circles screaming.

 

No not fart....F*ckbook....due to the amount of people we know who have run off with an old flame or had an affair with an old flame! before that it was friends reunited! (F***s reunited!) Now that was even worse around here! There were people finding their first love & divorcing! If it wasn't right the first time round why would it be right second time round!

Canadas population is vastly composed of immigrants (throughout the centuries), lustruous by any means. So, definitely, it make sense to keep good relations with other countries.

 

Part of my pension was made up off shares in Honeywell a USA company . With the £ dropping against the $ this has made the value rise by about 8% I presume it will shrink back down as the markets normalise and the jitters stop .
I am now just 2 million pounds short of being a multi millionaire !

We've been told today that wheat prices are up & the outlook for the milk industry is good, it's thought that there will be an increase in the payment for dairy farmers too....for me that's two reasons to smile.

 

Since the referendum, crocodiles have been sighted in the Thames basin again
