Potato Growing 2026

    Bit disappointed with the choice of potatoes in my local nursery but have bought some Wilja, second earlies, as they didn’t have any Charlotte or Kestrel left. If I see something about for an early then I’ll do those too.

    Anyone seen any in Aldi/Lidl/Bargain shops?? They usually do well for a couple of £.

      Go and buy a bag of small potatoes, I tend to make a bag last over a week and by the end they are shooting, and that's in an old fridge in the garage.
      The fridge is not turned on but it keeps a nice even temperature for storing bought veg.
