Today my OH brought home some potted delphiniums, and lupins, from a local nursery/garden centre she discovered at our new location. They were a good price as they're now 'out of season'. The plants are about 20 cm high, in 13 cm wide, extra deep pots, each have several leaves and are healthy looking.
Just wondering whether we should leave them in the pots over winter, or quickly prepare our border and plant them out. Thanks for any advice.

Think I would plant them out, the ground is warm so they will establish and should then get off to a good start next year.

Get them in the ground now so they can establish a good root system prior to going dormant over winter.
