I would say it is, they won't be growing much yet. We have to be patient as hard as that is!!!!

I will hang on a few weeks then. Just want to get some dirt under my fingernail. A bit of sunshine and I think spring is here I will have to reign myself in and be patient.

          Depends :)

If the plants are actively growing (in a heated greenhouse say) and are filling their pots then they need potting on :)

But, generally, putting a plant in a bigger pot means when you water it then there is more water in the soil in the new, bigger, pot than the old, smaller, one. So if the plant cannot drink that extra water quickly enough (e.g. because it isn't growing on strongly) then it will be sitting in wet soil (and maybe, this time of year, wet cold soil, which may encourage rotting).

That's also the main reason for not bunging a plant, from a small pot, into a huge pot; if the plant is dormant its definitely a reason for not potting it on as it will have too much water at its feet. Its not uncommon to down-size pots, in autumn, so that plants have less chance of having too much water in winter.
