I watched the first episode of the new series of "Killing Eve," last night
I'm often of the opinion when they make a second series of something which was very successful, they make some economies in an attempt to claw back some of the production costs of the first series. So sometimes they let themselves down.

    As an example.

Villanelle is in a French hospital, having been stabbed by Eve. She's confined to a bed and wearing just a hospital patient's gown.

I was amused to see the number items conveniently put in her path, to aid her escape from the hospital.

I was immediately reminded of the old, “Generation Game.”

The only thing she seemed to miss out on was, the cuddly toy.

But otherwise, “Didn’t she do well!?

Still, it moved the plot along.

She then got into the boot of a car with a GB plate on the back, after the couple and their kids went into a café. How she got in, we didn't see, or how she knew they were returning to England and not at the start of a continental holiday, is anyone's guess.

I don't know what the immigratiom checks are like at French channel ports. Maybe they let any car through with someone in the boot?

That's what she was trained to do, that's why she's so good at it.

I like it as a drama, but that was a couple of examples of sloppy writing.

If and when I watch TV, it is mostly freeview. The times I've watched Morse, New Tricks, Foyles War. I make a point of watching the news each day but get annoyed at the London news. This is basically a repeat of what you have just seen, then why the hell do we need so many weather forecasts?

I like to learn and be entertained. Science programs and most non-fiction interest me. Gardening programs I find pathetic and I tend to dislike individuals who have used gardening as a stepping stone, and having gained a foothold now are presenting all kinds of programs. These daft Kyle, and Judge Judy plus Judge Rindle what a load of c***. As for watching sex scenes puke!

They can't show everything, you've got to use your imagination and people try to dissect things, just got to except it. They were a British family who's just been on holiday and going back home.

I only watch freeview, don't like these celebrity programs, i like documentaries, but i fall asleep and only watch gardeners world.

The weather always changes over the day and different people do it on different channels.

We don't watch much at all, in fact we don't even have it on at weekends. The only thing I do follow is Eastenders ( even I'm wondering why now......think it was because Pauline and I were pregnant at the same time way back when and it's become a habbit :heehee:) Hubs usually catches the news once a day ...at the most it's on for a hour a day, maybe a bit more in the winter.

But how did she know in which direction they were traveling?
How did she open the boot? She had no key.
Why did no one see her remove all their luggage?
Why did the boot not get searched by customs?
How is she going to get out of the boot?

            Watch this space!

Such situations are an extension of this. i.e. a bit of a pantomine.

Watched the last episode of years and years last night. This is from last week

It's so much like what's happening now.

I only read the news headlines on the "red button."

Very dificult for the BBC to in any bias in so few words.

i'm very much "anti-celebrity presenter." Won't watch any these days. Anyway there are so few subjects that haven't been covered before. If ever there is one over-paid numpty "splitting slates" or whatever in a programme, I bet a dozen over the years, have done it before.

New series on Universal atarts on Wednesday 9.00 pm.

Stars the British actress Archie Panjabi.

She played "Kalinda" a "bad ass" bisexual private detective in "The Good Wife,"
