      Both, and I don't care, it tastes equally good to me. If it's thick buttery-textured clotted cream I usually put it on first, but softer/airier whipped cream on top of the jam.

        It depends on whether a knife is used to spread it or a spoon to dollop it on. I'd go with clotted cream first and against tradition - blackcurrant jam. :biggrin:
