I am growing pumpkins for the first time. Not got lots of space for them but they seem to love to climb so I have let them :) I'm not entering the contest or anything competitive, just want to play with everyone... learned that in kindergarten :snorky:

Been away on holiday so my Pumpkins have had to fend for themselves. All the fruit that had set and started growing in July have failed - not sure why as there has been plenty of rain (maybe too much!). The plant has gone a bit mad and one last fruit has just started growing, there isn't much time left for it to grow:

Good going Richard, any idea what the daily weight gain is?

From the photos it looks like you have changed and are now growing your hair long...

              Steve...:)

Well its increased 60lb in ten days, 6lb per day. So 14 days is another 84lbs on top..359lb by Harrogate.

If it is taping there or near it, I would forget Harrogate and let it continue growing till Hallowen as you would be on course for 500lb..

That's both of our target weights...

                  Steve...:)

It's a bit up and down guess it's weather some times it's 6 lb in two days some times it's 10 in to some times it's 15 it's a hard one to get a measure on too rubbish shape at the front
I will be taking it to Harrogate it's my main reason for growing it mate
I feel it will slow down growing soon it's starting to get a bit of power mildewed on it and the leafs are starting to take a battering from the winds so think the plant has had its day hoping for 300 for show every time before it's been heavier than the chart so that's good like you say stave I might get 400 by time it's show but see what happens
Going to really try next year things like covering it from sun and that see if I can get the 500 mark

That's fantastic Richard360. My fingers are crossed for you to get the 400+.

As for mine, they have all been ravaged by aphids so most of the leaves have been removed.

However, there might just be enough life in them yet for a small size increase.
