Which is why I'm not sure its worth the effort, I'm afraid.:(

Pumpkin compost, you forgot that one Ziggy.:D

My mate had to take a special trip to the local tip this weekend to dump mine.

Stick some in the tin with the other veg/herbs when making a roastie dinner, use it thinly sliced instead of courgette when making a veggie lasagne, but best of all is probably Pumpkin Marmalade.

That would be good if we had any spare freezer space Scrunge. Can you dry Pumpkin?

Found the Sheep are quite fond of it.

Mrs Scrungee has dehydrated marrows and used it in soups & stews.

I forgot to include Pumpkin Marmalade (recipe from W.I. Best Kept Secrets book) above.

I eat quite a lot of squash- Its rich in fibre, complex carbs and micro nutrients, its relatively high GI, but its so filling so you dont eat much. I posted this link to a BBC recipe page further back in the thread.

Thick soup with home made bread. It uses double cream which I couldnt touch with a barge pole, but with creme fraiche its still lovely.

          Those look delicious Melinda

I’m kicking myself for chucking mine in the compost bin now, I wonder if I could retrieve it and de-slug it. Hmmm on seconds thoughts, maybe next year.

Yes, the little ones said mine looked like Garfield and not the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland like it was supposed to be :)
