Spotted this in a neighbour's front garden earlier. From the positioning I would guess it is a shade-lover, at first I thought maybe a lamium or brunnera, but the flowers don't seem right for the former and the leaves are wrong for the latter. Any ideas?

Pulmonaria is good for Bees and Butterflies as well as being pretty. I have recently bought two of them. I bought one a few years ago and it did well in the back garden but when I moved it to the front garden it died. Could be it didn't find the more exposed position to its liking as it was not due to difference in growing medium, same compost used in both positions.

Pulmonaria Sissinghurst White ..is a white flowered one...however I have always found it a very iffy weak plant. While all other I grew did well this one often died, vanished or was not as vigorous as all the others.

If you want a good pale pink I recommend Pulmonaria saccharata Dora Bielefeld.

I also love the dark blue ones.eg Pulmonaria Blue Ensign.

If they are happy they're invasive weeds!
I gave up trying to get rid after three years and resorted to cutting them off every couple of days as they emerged.
