What about the power/water used to clean the car where you have inevitably spilled the sand?

    Clean the car? Me?

Between me and my 3 year old son, we are always dragging mud/sand into the car, and as I'm always hauling all sorts I reckon I could grow spuds in the boot. Very occasionally the wife or my mam cleans the inside out but that doesn't happen often. I wash the outside when it gets embarrassingly filthy.

Actually you've made me think of a funny story. I used to have an old Volvo estate. One MOT time I took it in. I always tidy the car before MOT time just to make it easier for the mechanics to look about, but I can't be bothered to remove everything. I took the old Volvo in, and in the back I'd left my hob nail DM boots, a pair of well worn grafting gloves, and a few tools like loppers and spade etc.

When I went to pick the car up afterwards, it was quite obvious that the mechanics had been having a game of 'guess the job'. The chap that served me struck up a very probing conversation, full of leading questions waiting for me to say what I did. I deliberately didn't bite as he dropped hints about landscaping, gardening, care taking and who knows what, all while refering to 'your (my) line of work'. His last attempt was to say something like 'good cars these in your line of work, tough as old boots, carry anything and go anywhere. What exactly is it you do?'. Imagine the look of surprise on his face when I told him I was a computer programmer:)

I missed the battery and rocket site when I was there . Although I have seen the rocket test site on TV , probably an episode of Coast :blue thumb:
The Napoleonic battery guns shown on the site , remind me of a bit of trivia. Similar guns were used to guard the river Wear in Sunderland . They were nicknmaed the "Black cats " . This is the nickname Sunderland FC now use after the move from Roker park.

Is it legal to take from the beaches in England? It's not here because of disturbance to the eco-balance.

Dogs are also banned from our beaches during the summer months. Fines are in place if caught.

No it is not Legal, that is why he would have to pinch it

If one person took an egg cup full of water from a bucket it would not be missed
If a thousand did it the bucket would be empty, same with the beach, only sand

It is unlikely that five thousand gardeners would turn up to take a ton of sand each from the beach but the law is to deter them

Go on clueless get a couple of bags
