Some years ago we bought a wall clock with radio time. Today, got again confused when the time is 23 minutes ahead. The same last Sunday. I changed the battery believing it helps.
If you have such clock, did you notice the same?

If that continues, I’m thinking about buying a new clock without radio time.

    Thanks in advance.

My weather station seems to have Radio Controlled Time. It says DCF by a beacon symbol. The time seems perfectly accurate once you put your time zone in. Is that the same thing? If the batteries are low I haven't noticed the clock being affected - the whole thing konks out.

Thanks @cactus_girl for confirming that your one works.
Our one is a £15 IKEA clock and just allows to add a battery. It has got old fashioned hands. It has been very practical not to have to adjust the summertime and wintertime.
Looking now, it works correctly again. Really strange. I believe it was the same last Sunday, same time when it happened.

I've got a couple of radio clocks, ine just a small alarm clock and the other is the weather station.
The weather station one has a reset button which if you dont push, after putting new batteries in, seems to just start from 12.00.

I have a weather station, a radio alarm clock and a wall clock which are all radio controlled. The first two are plugged into the mains and are always correct, the third only goes wrong when the batteries are low but then recovers with new batteries.

Often it's due to it missing the signal from the transmitter.
Or the signal is being blocked by some structure before it gets to the clock, in which case an ordinary clock would work better in that spot.
In the UK the timing signals are sent from Anthorn, Cumbria.
If it goes wrong again, try placing it by a window that faces in that general direction and see if that helps.
Some clocks use a signal from Germany.
If the letters MSF can be found somewhere on the clock then it uses the UK signal.
If DCF appears somewhere, then the signal is from Germany.

Must be the church bells interfering with your signal

One of our weather stations over the last few months has in the mornings changed to Frankfurt time. We have to change it back and it stays GMT until the next morning. No idea what is going on as we have other stations that stay with GMT.

I wonder if the radio time signal is the one that the old electric meters use, that is supposedly going to be turned off at some point.

@Pete8 thanks for that. Yes, I had checked the MSF website and saw that there have been maintenance work on February 3 to 5. Last time I changed the battery immediately. This time, I waited and it went back to normal an hour later. I wonder if it has to do with the summertime change in March, because it happened twice on a Sunday at 2 pm.

@pete Yes that’s why I asked here knowing that members here are more familiar with this than I am.
