Anybody grow ramps i.e Allium tricoccum? I've got the European ramsons or wild garlic - Allium ursinum - in a shady spot in the garden and it does very well - self-seeds quite prolifically - but I've tried to grow the North American A. tricoccum from seed twice now with no joy. I planted them outside in a pot in September with peat and leafy compost thinking the would need to overwinter before germinating in Spring but no luck. I'm guessing that if they grow in North America then they experience winter temperatures well below 0°C so perhaps seeds need to spend some time in the freezer before being sown.

Does anybody know where I could buy bulbs of this plant rather than seeds?
