The problem with that quote is that if you regard a person as an idiot in a "argument" it's reflects a "I'm better than him/her anyway" train of thought on the person believing he's not the idiot.........which is idiotic.:heehee::snorky:

We can twist things in our own mind to believe anything we want if its keeps you happy and you do no harm to others all is well,

Anyhow John has gone for using traps so shooting them is not a option so hopefully John can get on with his thread without anymore trolling :fingers crossed:.

Well, I'm pretty certain we've had nobody trolling on this Forum for a couple of years. Martin, but what we do have is people differing in opinions from their own experiences, which is just that a difference of opinion and experience.:dunno::snorky:.

@martin-f Troll? Okay, now that is nasty. I'm short but not that ugly! :heehee:

What I find puzzling is why anyone would talk about pellet/air rifles as though they would be pointing UP above 6 inches off the ground if they were attempting to shoot a rat. And a ricochet would certainly be slowed down immensely after hitting the first point. Most air rifles don't go much beyond 500fps.

I think traps are best but probably because I'm no Wyatt Earp :)

Lol Lori, here in the uk air rifles over 12 foot pounds need a firearm certificate that are not easy to obtain, traps is a good way if john can take a few out it should slow them down a little, nothing worse than something destroying your crop.

@martin-f we have pretty strict laws about shooters. You should have seen the look on the border guard's face when I declared mine when coming back from the states after one of my visits. I wanted a Red Rider but I didn't want the brown/black one, I wanted a pink one so I had to order it and cross the border to get it.

The fellow's face was fun to watch. He took one look at it and I could see he was holding in a laugh. He probably wanted to say.. " you call that a gun? Let me show you mine". But he kept a straight face and probably had a fun time relating that experience. Now if he'd only seen how it would match my pink lined camo sneakers and taser... hmmm. This thread is good for thought.

Maybe I'll figure out how to run electric fencing at their stomping grounds. Cruel Lori. Jumping rats...
