At long last, some positive news:

'Human foot' in Gateshead field turns out to be potato

 

I might be starting to get the hang of how this forum works... definitely a reason to be cheerful...

 

Looks like two reasonably dry days in a row, after this winter it’s a miracle happening here.

 

Spoke too soon it’s tipping down again!

 

I’m glad to have found this thread, ( quite unexpectedly !) whilst browsing the forum site. It’s nice to have somewhere to put some nice/good news so will be keeping this bookmarked and hope to add something very soon.

No need to apologize, I just thought I'd mention it. I don't suppose it matters which thread people use, but now you know about them both

 

My reason to be cheerful today - well, one of them, anyway!!
I got the May edition of Gardeners World magazine, and it contains the "2 for 1" offer for entry to various gardens, for the coming year.
(There are some of you here who might call me a traitor, purchasing such a magazine, after the online forum was closed down - but it will save me money, because I will go to the gardens anyway).
I was told by the shop assistant, that this edition is selling fast, so if you want a copy, don't hesitate!!

I'm also cheerful because I bought a new lawnmower today. Weather and energy levels permitting, I hope to use it tomorrow. If not, there's always the OH who might be tempted to give the garden a haircut.
