Red Valerian cuttings

    I collected seed 18 months ago, from the plants along the outside of a house boundary. Tiny little border. I now have one decent plant which is in among others with similar colouring, and a little tray of seedlings.
    I love it, but it won't be attracting humming bird hawkmoths as we don't have them round here, which is a pity.
    I might try some cuttings from the main plant I have. It'll probably work in the far end of the front garden. :smile:

      I saw one of those moths on my valerian a few years ago. I think it was a white valerian so they don't seem to be particular about the colour.

        I love this plant but dont seem to be able to keep it going. I will try cuttings - didnt know it was possible. Thank you!

              It's a rampant self-sower here. Often the white form but I usually get some red and some that's more of a deep pink. I frequently pull some out when it appears in amongst other things.
