Bit late in here, but many years ago I planted several Fragrant Cloud roses and they are a 'rose red', to my eye slightly pinky, definitely not dark crimson. Notcutts from the same era (1984), and I believe from whom I bought them, describes it as 'warm coral red'. Looks like mine, though I can't add a decent photo. I don't think the scent is that fabulous either. There seem to be a lot of better ones about. Here it is:

Also, I don't know the variety Windrush, but in the description of it it says the colour is soft lemon yellow. Could the rose pictured be er..Iceberg? I don't wish to appear thick, and the bud looks a bit wrong, but it's the simplest possibility.

Thanks Paladin - I ain't got a clear yellow yet, but I do have a bud that looks a bit like Blue Moon. Thats a rose I know - grew it in my last garden and inherited it in this one. Not a favourite of mine.

Jazin thanks for the piccie of Fragrant Cloud - not totally convinced due to the flower shape, and pictures I've seen - however have labelled it as such for now.

Re the white, I have Iceberg, and whilst the bud and leaf colour are right the opening flower is not. Iceberg tends to have a pinkish centre to the bud when opening, and more petals when fully open.

Rescued rose 4 for identification - now that was a bit difficult to photograph, as the stem was not enough to support the flower. So excuse the hand, and for those eagle eyes, yes the little rose resident, tripped out onto my hand :D

Fulton McKay was the nearest of those three - Liz, thanks. So will call it that for now. Unfortunately I had to go to a wedding over the weekend, and the petals had dropped when I got back.

Take a look at this sige too - for droolable roses.

Hi Fran, that's a lovely site. Must have a large garden! Some lovely roses I've never heard of, and it's useful to see pictures of the same rose at different stages. [IMG]

Sorry Fran but I do hate that rose, I just can't cope with the colour, but the scent is fantastic.

I'll swop you :D But that still leaves my no 2 rose unnamed if you got the Fragrant Cloud

Blue Moon is not a favourite of mine - though the perfume is wonderful.

Here's number six. From Paladin's list, it may be Sumer sunshine - a clear yellow, but this has a hint of pink on its outer petals - what do you think?
