I have that feeling of this thread opening up more. Probably I have mentioned my own retirement before. Nothing to do with my wishes, desire etc. Back in 1984 I was chucked on the scrap/compost heap. Government cut backs of the day, took away from me so much at the time. However. The way things worked out. Even now, I miss going to work. Many a night, my dreams take me back in time. Thankfully, I have to admit. HM Gov. has paid me my pensions, so I am satisfied.

Since 1984, sounds like George Orwell's book. Medically the medics wouldn't sign me off. So I have used the time to continue my studies, and to be honest. I have in general enjoyed my retirement. Agreed in those lower moments. I ask myself. All this learning, all my notes and papers etc?????? Perhaps I will be read and appreciated.

To all who have recently or soon will retire. Keep your brain active, keep physically active, best you can. Continue to enjoy, get all you can out of life.

            Stay Safe.

Have thought of that also @Mike Allen , taking a few "free" college courses" as senior citizens can sit in "free". maybe I will piss off the liberal teachers as part of my merriment. Maybe piano lessons. Attending a gardening class at Longwood Gardens, maybe get a Master Gardner certificate. There are ladies Church groups during the day I could attend. Besides going to the gym. lots of walking, gardening etc. Exploring places I have not been able. Get a food handlers license. Lots of stuff out there. Have to make my list.
