I've just seen the most desperate telly ad, capitalising on the rubbish weather we've been having.

It shows a rainy day, and then a young kid colouring in indoors, and finishes with the slogan, 'Rice Crispies colouring in box, may be your rescue pack'.

Start em young and all that. Get the rice crispies imagine well and truly wedged in the minds of the youngsters early enough so by the time they are able to make their own shopping choices, they will instinctively be drawn to the crispies without even knowing why.

Still, I don't think much has changed. I remember nearly bursting with excitement when my snap, crackle and pop alarm clock arrived in the post after I'd collected the tokens, and got my mam to send off said tokens along with a postal order.
