    Many thanks Sheal for helping.
Interesting. Apparently Cherokee rose is Rosa setigera.

Quote...Rosa is the classical name for roses; setigera means bristle-bearing.
My pics show bristles on the bud!

    http://www.biosurvey.ou.edu/shrub/rosa-set.htm

    Looks good in many ways!
However according to above site it only has 3 leaflets..so that rules it out.

      Rosa 'Wedding Day'
A Rosa sinowilsonii seedling raised by Sir Fredrick Stern in 1950, there is no record of what the species had crossed with. The result is a large vigorous rambler (25') with shiny leaves and unlike its parent completely hardy. The very large clusters of scented single white flowers appear from yellow buds in mid summer often having a pink flush as they age

Thank you Woo for going to so much trouble.
A link that mentions it aging to a pink flush...excellent!
I think I will now wait to see what colour the hips are.

I was looking at the roses at David Austin and wondered if it was Rosa ‘Francis E. Lester’.. When I was looking for a white Banksia yesterday..

Thank you for your suggestion Marley Farley.
This was suggested before and I eliminated it cos 'Francis E. Lester' is a strong-growing large rambler with dark green foliage and pink buds.
I need one that has yellow buds.
