My mums groundcover ones flowered all year round which is why she didnt prune hers and hers have gone all floppy. Never seen roses in flower in winter before

This year shes going to prune in to help established the shape whether they are still flowering or not lol

@wiseowl i do always expect you to be right but i never think i will be lol

Hehe wiseowl they are a good choice i have to say the gold ones are really beautiful too and go really well with the pink. Im wishing i hadnt just got all pink for the front garden and had done gold and pink because they look amazing together.

Thanks very much Wiseowl and everyone else for the information and confirmation of the type of roses they are :-)

Also regarding my other question about the branches are all weighted down and spread out all over the place - probably due to large volume of flowers. '

Some of the branches are standing tall but other outer branches are spread out and tend to lay flat on the ground

Is that expected for this type of Rose or is there anything i could or should do to gather them together so that they not lying on the ground

          Thoughts?
          Thanks

My mum has used some metal loop supports to help prop hers up but i have found my ground cover roses have been helped by pruning to create stronger growth and not leggy floppy growth

            Thanks for reply Dips
I guess the pruning you refer to should be done early in the year around march time
Any tips or tricks for this pruning
            Thanks

Ummmmm i think @wiseowl will be better on the correct pruning

Im growing mine as a hedge so im pruning whenever any branch is too big for the space

So mine look like that with my taking any really long growth out. once the flowers have finished I will prune back the flowering over hanging stems that are bit too big

My mums look like this with no pruning and with supports holding them up

Both were planted same year but mum planted them closer together (too close if you ask me)

I find if you prune them so they keep a nice compact shape as they grow they are less floppy
