Runner Bean. Yellow edges

    Morning, could anyone tell me if my beans are suffering from cold and Wind or if its a deficiency in something. Just worried as it seems to be the newer leaves.

    Not too sure on that one:scratch:

    Might be a lack of iron uptake, you on chalky soil?

    They are at my plot which is really good loamy soil. Did a ph not long ago and its neutral. They have been placed on a 2ft trench of rotted leafmould so i thought they would be loving it but they look like they are suffering.
    How can i get them to uptake more iron?

    It's probably not that then, I was thinking that chalk can stop the uptake.

    Try just a liquid feed, but then again, might just be the relentless winds we've been having.

    I was reading on another forum that a lot of beans seem to be suffering this year as we are/were still getting cold nights.

      I'd say cold/wind. Most of mine have had some plastic sheets around them to keep out the cold, they are starting to climb the strings. The ones without any protection are just sitting there shivering.
