Rosa.Have you got any access at all to any outside garden.
It is a shame that you only have a balcony to put your plant pots onto, though you probably get good views from where you are,and have a bit of colour to look out on

kandyfloss i am back checked left mail.
I have communal gardens to front and back, i let my neighbours downstairs have a bit of privacy as i have a large balcony, works quite well. my friend has just bought a downstairs flat here so in the future will spend a lot more time down in the communal gardens. We have lawned areas and roses and next year i am going to plant some passion flowers and clematis and other things.

That's the answer then - grow them in hanging baskets Maybe I'll try that next time! Too many to pick off Rosa - there are thousands of the blighters. Never mind at least I'm doing my bit in keeping blackfly for the ants and any other wildlife that likes them. One consolation I suppose.
Maybe I'll stick to tomatoes - I always do well with thm - although I did grow cherry toms and hubby won't eat them cos he says they are not proper tomatoes!!!!!! This is the man who hates pasta but loves spaghetti???????? No I can't work it out either.

Clematis. You will be worth a fortune if you can ever work out the thinking of a man.
I gave up years ago ha ha
But then I cannot stand tomatoes, but I like tomato ketchup,so there must be something in it.

    good night kandfloss
clematis I was shocked when they grew in the hanging baskets iff i had known i would of put more beans in them, I had them in pots they died and the other one is fine but no sign of beans at present. my hubby is the same he would not give you a thanks for a tiny little tomato, he hates pasta and detests garlic, i cooked the lamb once with garlic and he went mad he said i have ruined a good bit of meat. never done it again. :D

Good night Kandyfloss. You young ones can't keep up with us oldies I see. The senior moments come in handy for excuses though! You wait!!!!

Rosa - trouble is I would have done it all the more. especially if I liked it - the garlic I mean - but you can be cantankerous as you get older. Feeling it now - got my free bus pass last week and it's great!!!!!
