    Hi

In March I planted delphinium seeds, 3 or 4 per pot with no space, in compost.

I now have seedlings about 4in tall, with no space between. One or two have started wilting :cry3:. I am worried I planted them too close and they are competing - should I thin them out?

    Thanks,
    Andy

Hi Andy, it is probably is time to thin them out or pot them on.

How big is the pot? Are we talking a 4 inch pot or a honking great big one?

Hi Melinda - Tank you for replying. The pot is probably 3 inch. I think I'll need to thin them as they are too close to separate.

Thinning out plants always makes me sad! :(

It is the best thing to do though.

Prick them out instead? Give each one its own 3" pot ... assuming that you will be able to use all the plants, otherwise just off-with-their-heads for the "spares"
