      Sorry @a0m0 , I gave up early. I think the survey needs a few tweaks. I'm happy to have another go later perhaps.

      After ticking the boxes to indicating which sports I've done and how often, it rejected my choices and asked me to answer every single one. I don't want to. When you run a survey you need to consider that some people may not want to answer every point in every question. I know that's unfortunate from a data analysis exercise, but it means you get some data instead of no data.

      I didn't tick boxes for sports I've never done, because I've never done them. I know its a tricky one, because if there's no answer, it could either mean that the participant has not done them, or they simply forgot or couldn't be bothered to say, but perhaps if it is organised slightly differently, you can get a decent indication from it that is statistically sound.

              The survey wouldn't let me continue beyond the first page because: I won't give you, or anyone else, my date of birth! :heehee:

              For me, it's a "need to know" basis and, quite frankly, I am simply chucked off with every Tom, Dick and Harry including that question for simply *everything* :wallbanging: Even for research purposes, an age range would suffice!

              Sorry I couldn't help any further but your survey wouldn't allow me permissions to continue.

                  I agree with you "M". The date of birth cannot be critical to the survey and an age range should be sufficient.

                  Having said that, I have completed the survey and only took about 8 minutes. I used my GC date of birth :heehee:.
                  Although the first part was relevant to sporting/exercise activities the body of the questionnaire was similar to the old 15FQ personality assessment tests. I'm wondering about the real purpose of the survey. :scratch:

                  Interestingly, the survey impinges on a discussion we had only last week. That was about the appropriateness of correct spelling when used on a personal basis and for business/education. We seemed to agree that correct spelling on a personal basis was not necessary (but desirable) whereas for business and education it should be correct.

                  Unfortunately, I found a basic spelling mistake on the university survey. I have pointed it out to them and wonder whether they will alter it! I, also, made a deliberate mistake in spelling whilst pointing it out to them and I hope they notice it. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
