    Dam, the poor Amish folks would be in dire straights if they had to put up with "health and safety standards--codes etc" Its part of the ambiance to know a little horse hair is floating through the jam, jellies, cookies, breads.

    Your damned if you do and you are damned if you dont. I make jams and sell it to friends who want them, now as its only seasonal I dont make a huge profit, Please understand I still have to buy sugar and find the bottles. All the fruit comes from my allotment. People love the taste of home made jam and allotment produce i cant see the tax man going after a few pennies.

    The tax man is also hardup. This week I had a letter from them regarding my pension and they sent me an envelope for a reply but guess what I had to put a stamp on the envelope, now how hardup are they:scratch:

    Fancy, look on the bright side,at least they didn`t charge you for the envelope.:thmb::D
