    ..before potting up. Thank you.:)

I know that Snake Plants are supposed to be virtually indestructible but both of ours, that we'd had for quite a while, began going soggy and eventually died completely back in the late Spring. Someone else who we know had the exact same thing too.
I made several attempts at propagating a leaf all but this one went soggy too. This one looks and feels normal but do the roots need to develop further ( in water) before potting up. Ta for any advice.

I'd pot it up now, but keep a close eye on the watering, too little is better than too much.
A good open gritty compost that dries out fast.

I used to play around with these and you can get totally green plants by using leaf cuttings further up the leaf.

The yellow edge is, I think, something that comes from the rootstock, so division is better if you want to maintain it.

I agree with @pete, pot it up now into a gritty compost, and water very sparingly. I have grown them in the past from leaf sections pushed straight into the compost.

Thank you @pete and @Michael Hewett for getting back to me. Greatly value your advice.
Can I use just ordinary MPS with added grit.?

You can but add 50%, I tend to use soil based but if you dont overwater they will grow in anything really with the occasional feed.
