I can't find a section on questions, so it's here. Please delete or move to appropriate place if necessary.

Does anyone have experience of taking Aphelandra cuttings. Any advice/help will be appreciated ... thank you

I got it from my son for Father's Day!

The most curious thing is that just the day before I saw photos of Gloxinias I grew years ago & I thought to myself 'I'd like to get them again someday' then the next day my son brings this Gloxinia around!!!
                .
Gloxinia for Father's Day from Jonathan 19th June 2022 .jpg
                .
I didn't say anything to my wife or my son about the pictures I had seen the day before either. What's even stranger is that I can't find where they came from! I did a search through Google Photos where the majority of my photos have been saved since 2005 but Gloxinias don't appear there. I also did a search in OneDrive where I have many 100s of photos but they don't seem to be on there either! They don't exist on any of my PCs or laptops because the Gloxinias I had are from before I had any of them. So, where did they come from???

Then you were destined to have it!

My pictures were taken in 2010 and I kept them in The Baffa/Outdoor Living Room but if I remember correctly I only had them for two years. We might be a bit warm for them. ;)

My wife used to work at a big name supermarket till she retired about 5 years ago. As she was leaving her work one evening she saw some Gloxinias reduced in price & got two of them. I think we had them for about 2 years - perhaps 3. Neither of them were doubles, one I think was a shocking pink while the other may have been deep purple, not sure now.

I think the photos appeared on my phone but as the photos were from, at the very least, more than 6 years ago & I can't find them doing searches I'm bewildered as to where they are stored!:scratch::scratch:

I've just done another search in Google Photos - I found them! But only 1 purple & single! My mind must be playing tricks on me as there was NO shocking pink! The oldest photo is from June 2009! Now I know why they showed up on Saturday! Google Photos (& OneDrive) send you reminders of photos that were taken on a certain date so the pictures I saw were from June 2009! Mystery solved!!! :)

                        Flowering Amaryllis ...
It hasn't flowered for several years but now has three buds. The third one hasn't opened yet.
