    Cost me 30p from charity shop last year and nurtured it all winter. Never grown it before :)

      Right, you've done it now, I feel like I'm in cloud cuckoo land......

      I've had a google and both Streptocarpus Saxorum and Streptocarpella Saxorum are both called Cape Primrose.

      What have I got ? Is mine the same as yours ?

        Don't know, I've never met it :heehee:

        Streptocarpella is a subgenus of Streptocarpus. As a rule it has a trailing growth habit. Streptocarpella have noticeable stems on the leaves like yours has.

        Anyway, Echeveria agavoides has been shy to flower for me over the last three years but this year I've cracked it. What it needs is a cold spell (in my greenhouse) followed by a warmer spell in the unheated porch..................
        [IMG]

        The flowers are small especially when you consider that this is a chunky leaved species...............

            was roaming through photobucket today and guess I did capture a shot of the "TEAR" that forms on the Queens tears plant. So here it is.

              Hi Longk,

              I think I've got what you've got !
              :)

              I saw some " Streptocarpus " in a Garden Centre and they've got a different growth habit to mine. Their leaves grow in a rosette and then the flowers come out the centre of the plant ( like a true Primrose ) whereas mine grows stems like yours.

                    @Anthony Rogers
                    Thank you. I'm impressed with it myself as it was an impulse buy. It has had flowers since it arrived in March.
