They make a really good focal point if planted out in a moist shady spot. Let this one get big and do cuttings for next summer if you want to try.

I've got this Achimenes and a few others. You've just reminded me, I've forgotten to plant the tubers [emoji15] will have to sort them out and hope they are ok.

mine are all going out to the deck this weekend. the queens tears soon to be split in half and given to a friend. there is a dark purple begonia that over flows its large basin type planter, that one is being ripped out and sacrificed to the garden soil this year never to return inside the house.

I believe to make photos full size, attach a photo as normal, and then when attached make sure you click on "full size" in the attachment box. I worked this out just the other day!

Purchased a bag of four shrivelled up gloxinia tubers for 20p a while back. Two grew and they are finally flowering. Seems to have taken forever and can't say I'm overly impressed with the results [emoji38]

Bought 3 Gerberas for 7p each at Tesco's Sunday closing time clearance today (reduced from £3.50, Mrs Scrungee only wanted the tacky metal buckets, but I reckon some TLC (starting with some tomato feed) will revive them, I've snipped the dead blooms off and seen new flower buds beneath them.
