I did have a quick whizz tonight and yes,it is very quiet. It chops rather than shreds, and so takes good sized thinnings.
Tomorrow it'll have to earn it's keep.... ;)

Now that was fun [IMG] She is a beauty!
Cherry and dead Golden Elm,up to 25mm thick, and she ate them with ease.

Just make sure the adjuster is set to .5mm and this is what you get..

Power Plus Silent Shredder. POW 6455. 2500Watt.40mm max cut.
    Got mine through...VARO UK.

I paid Ã?£120. but I've seen them for Ã?£99 since [IMG] so do your homework mate.
It runs about the same noise level as an electric cement mixer and not much different as I fed in the thickest branch. I know it'll be more than able to cope with my prunings, and it's adjustable for all sorts.

Quiet (drum shredders) are good for branches and prunings but not so good for soft green leafy stuff - it tends to clog the cutter - so keep the branches till the end as they will clear a clogged cutter.

Also don't adjust the reaction plate too often, it the output is susaging then wind it in a little till it stops. If you see aluminium chips coming out stop adjusting.
