The suppliers state that it is "strongly perfumed, often with traces of apple and clover." It almost sounds as if they are describing a wine!:)

Edit: This rose, along with two other varieties are now ordered for delivery in April. :hapydancsmil:

When these are added, there will be a total of 61 rose bushes in my little rosarium! So you can imagine how it smells at the height of blooming, especially after a light rainfall.

                      A little update on this.

Yesterday afternoon, I received a phone call from the supplier. The roses will be ready for collection earlier than planned...this coming Saturday to be exact.:hapfeet:

I'm happy to report that the new roses are now in their place, and I'm just finishing off the job.

Collecting the roses also got me an invite to the suppliers grounds. It covers three people, so let me see, I wonder if anyone else on here has an interest in roses...:dunno::snork:

Its the drive thats long. Nowadays the only boats that can be used to get here go across the channel.

One thing that may be of interest to some. ( @wiseowl are you reading this? ) The rose supplier has some examples of a rose variety called "Comtesse de Rocquigny."
