God knows what!! Seems like something tiny - the leaves now look serrated because they have been eaten. And little holes are appearing.

I turned a leaf over and there were two little black specs - like miniature 'thunder bugs' but I couldn't see anything else.

It's too dark to take a pic now - but any ideas? And what should I do to stop it?

Well jings, Victoria Plum. A pic would sure help, but if you can't do that then we have to assume some bug is eating your fuchsias,
I like to be as organic as I can, but since you are not going to eat your fuchsias then I would spray them with insecticide. Let us know how you get on.

Try the Provado spray. Usually works on most bugs.

I have provado'd my fuschia! Thanks for advice - glad it isn't some obvious terminal fuschia disease.

It seems to be peeking up, with less holes!

At least slugs and snails don't seem partial to them ...

I dont know if you have them there or not, but i often find earwigs in mine, and there are spots missing on the leaves, which i assume is from them.

Hi penny. Yep, we get earwigs as well. I assume we're talking about the same creatures. ( Little pincers on their bums?) They don't attack the Fuschias but they are partial to my Carnation buds:mad:

Well, you could always spray with Provado (or the Canadian equivalent). It's a systemic poison so it should kill anything munching on the plants.
