Sorry I've Not Been Around Lately

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, I've had a number of battles on my plate. My Nan died suddenly just over two months ago and then a week after this happened I found out that the charity Essex Wildlife Trust which I had been volunteering for for nearly 3 years decided to throw some of my woodwork in the bin, without even telling me beforehand. This affected my creativity immensely as a result.

I and a number of other volunteers took our story of mistreatment to the press and facebook as a result. It made the front page of the local paper and then the next week a photo appeared with some of the volunteers (who I honestly thought were my friends and supported me) giving the thumbs up and saying everything was "hunky dory" (many of them didn't appear in the photo though). I have since found out though that the chief executive has gotten involved since the manager responsible has taken sick leave because of the trouble I have caused and has apparently received hate mail....

I have since left here though and moved over to volunteering at a charity shop and I'm much much happier here as I get to fix dolls houses and other bits and pieces that would otherwise have gone into landfill. Also I get lots of stuff dirt cheap. Also I've put some weight back on.

So hopefully now after grieving for the loss of my Nan and a major shift in my life I can post a bit more on here. I have given up my allotment and have turned my veg patch in my own garden into a fruit garden and also our pergola is nearly completed. I should post these up in my thread when I get some time to.

So sending a big overdue hug to everyone who wondered where I was.

Oh gosh @Jungle Jane, I'm really sorry to read about the terrible time you've been having, but I'm really pleased that you have found a nice charity to work for now. I hope life continues to improve for you.

I was wondering too where you'd got to. I was thinking about you yesterday and hoping that you were ok so I'm really glad you posted. I'm sorry that you've been having such a lousy time. Keep your chin up

Hope life settles down a bit fir you now. Remember the burgers can knock you down but then you can come back stronger for having the experience

So sorry to hear of your loss, and the extra problems so soon afterwards. I hope that you will continue to be happy working for the new charity, and that they truly appreciate your skills.
