Thanks :). I don't have much in the way of experience, so attempting to be organised is my next best shot

    Hiya FC.

If it were me, I wouldn't bother with the direct sowings in Feb, a bit early I reckon unless you plan to cover them? At best I think the germination would be sporadic. I fully understand your eagerness to get things going, indeed I'm very much the same, but I've learned to resist:)

    Cheers...Freddy

Sorry FC, I'm struggling to read it, as the prints so small. Time to visit my optician I think for updated lenses. :)

I suggest you take a pinch between thumb and index finger, and then rubbing the fingers together should "release" the seeds. I work North-South in "rows" across the seed tray, and then repeat cross-ways East-West, so to speak.

Suggest you do one/several trial runs on a piece of paper first to get the hang of it (preferably a piece of coloured paper contrasting the colour of the seed [or sand if you do John's mix]), once you've done it a few times its a bit like riding a bicycle :)

      Just counted mine ... 204 :(

My count was excluding vegetable seeds :( :(

Mind you ... I'm not growing any veg different to previous years, so that should be "routine". Well ... I am trying one new veg ... in the Autumn I give a pot of chillie peppers, laden with fruit, to a number of friends. This year I though I would grow Penis Pepper for them, as a laugh :)
